Jon Loehr of Bell Medical has converted the University of Maryland to the Procedural Oxygen Mask (POM). University of Maryland has 6 hospitals committed to purchasing the POM through Bell Medical. The POM mask delivers high concentrations of oxygen while monitoring capnography for upper GI procedures. POM is the only FDA approved procedural sedation mask for Upper GI procedures. POM provides a physical barrier to aerosolized pathogens improving safety for clinicians.
