NoPress Eye Protection Mask for anesthesia, 20/Box
Description
The NoPress Patient Eye Protection in anesthesia is a foam and rigid shield designed to protect patients’ eyes from external pressure. The one-piece surgery eye protection shield helps to distribute the pressure evenly around the bony area of the face. NoPress medical eye protection helps to limit injury that could occur during surgery. Small holes in the mask allow airflow to prevent condensation. Benefits of this surgery eye protection mask dressing include:

Low profile to limit snags on drapes or cords
- Mask shape eliminates adhesive on eyebrows making removal atraumatic
- A Transparent shield allows the patient’s eyes to be visible at all times
- The medical-grade adhesive keeps the mask in place and prevents allergic reactions
NoPress eye protection in anesthesia eliminates the problems with current methods to protect the eyes such as gauze and tape or foam masks with plastic over the eye. Use this with our EyePro Eye Occlusion Dressings to help keep the patient’s eyes shut. NoPress is safer for the patient and easy for the clinician to use. EyePro may be used in conjunction with NoPress medical eye shield during surgery providing total eye safety and control. Contact us for free samples.

What is NoPress Eye Protection and what is it used for?
NoPress is a one-piece foam and rigid eye shield used during anesthesia and surgery to protect a patient’s eyes from external pressure. It is designed to distribute pressure evenly around the bony area of the face, helping limit the eye injuries that can occur intraoperatively. It is supplied by Innovgas and sold in boxes of 20 (SKU B100781).
How does NoPress protect the eyes during a procedure?
Rather than resting on the eye itself, the rigid shield spans the orbital area and transfers pressure to the surrounding bone. Small holes in the mask allow airflow, which helps prevent condensation from building up under the shield during the case.
How is NoPress different from gauze and tape or foam masks with plastic over the eye?
NoPress is designed to address the drawbacks of those older methods. Its low profile limits snags on drapes and cords, and the mask shape keeps adhesive off the eyebrows so removal is atraumatic. The transparent shield also keeps the eyes visible throughout the case, which taped gauze does not allow.
Can the clinician see the patient’s eyes while the mask is in place
Yes. The shield is transparent, so the patient’s eyes remain visible at all times without removing or lifting the mask.
Will removal irritate the skin or pull on the eyebrows?
The mask is shaped to avoid placing adhesive on the eyebrows, which is intended to make removal atraumatic. It uses a medical-grade adhesive to hold the mask in place.
Should NoPress be used together with EyePro?
It can be. NoPress protects against external pressure, while the EyePro Eye Occlusion Dressing helps keep the eyes closed. Used together, they are positioned as providing complete eye protection and closure. The two can be used independently or in combination depending on the case.
How is it packaged, and can we get samples first?
NoPress is sold in boxes of 20. Bell Medical offers free samples of NoPress and EyePro, which can be requested through the sample form on the product page or by contacting Bell Medical.
